Grieco's Carefree Inn Restaurant: An Italian Culinary Gem in Indianola

I'm head of a dinner club of about 20 people. The second time at Grieco's for our group was this past December for our Christmas party. What I have found to be Grieco's strong point by far is their customer service. Extremely helpful staff. Very accommodating and attentive to even the smallest detail. They told us both times that they wanted everything just so and they lived up to their promise. Truly, they go above and beyond and follow through with what they say. Secondly, the group and I have found the atmosphere to be wonderful. Very relaxing, calming, clean, and pleasant. Personally, one thing I'm very particular about any eatery is its cleanliness (including the restroom). Grieco's truly is on the top of the list for cleanliness. Finally, their food has been great. Served fresh and hot (as it should). Even though I've been there twice with my dinner group, we have not had to wait long at all to be served. And, in spite of our reasonably large group, I'm not aware of any errors in anyone's order. This is the type of place well worth going out of your way for.

Love this place!!! We always have a wonderful experience. From the time you walk in and get greeted/ seated to the meal and dessert. The atmosphere is super cool and takes you back to a different era. Prime rib, filet, seafood is always fantastic. They go above and beyond here to ensure you have a great experience. Not one complaint from me!! This is ALWAYS my recommendation to others. Love it here and glad it is local for us!!

My husband and I went out to dinner Saturday. We haven’t been to Grieco’s in years. I have to say, excellent. It was busy and we didn’t wait to be seated (we had reservations); waitress, Kiersten, was very attentive, courteous & sweet; ordered Salmon Oscar, delicious (although, I like my salmon slightly more rare); lump crab, delicious; even the salad & bread were absolutely yummy; balsamic dressing was also delicious. Staff checked on us often, can’t say enough about our experience. They only thing we could say, it was hard to get an answer, when we called to make reservation. We will be returning.

This is from now until I find another place better my favorite place, way , am a truck driver, I travel the 50 states and eat on all places, but nothing like this, glamour, thanks for everything.

We ate here recently for the first time in many years. It was very good. The service was excellent. We had a party of 6 and everyone loved their meals. Nice size portions. We will definitely go back.

I have been asking my Husband to take us there for a wild. So we went the for Valentine's Day. We order the Sea Platter. It was out of this world. So mouth watering we are differently going again. 5 .

We are in town visiting family, and they are regular patrons of the Carefree Inn. They kept saying we needed to try the deep-fried shrimp, which was excellent. The batter was similar to a tempora type breading and very light in texture. My wife had the Boston scrod dinner, which she said was excellent as well. The sides were delicious, and portions were generous. The wine pours are basically the size of the glass, which was a nice surprise given the pours you usually get these days. This was a great dinner, and we look forward to visiting again when we are in the area.
